To support our growth, we are looking for a Labeling and Food Regulation Advisor.

As part of the growth and ambition of Bonduelle Americas Long Life to innovate new products, we must review the nutrition labeling in accordance with the current regulations of food products for the Canadian and American markets. Reporting to the Consumers and Regulatory Affairs Manager, the Labeling and Food Regulation Advisor will be responsible for:


 Validating the conformity of the nutritional information and the packaging of food products;


 Revising the list of ingredients and nutritional claims on labels and packaging to ensure compliance;


 Developing the nutrition facts tables using the software or via a laboratory and presenting the results;


 Writing recommendation reports in French and English in accordance with current regulations;


 Responding to questions regarding labeling and regulations for all categories of products;


 Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes in the main markets, namely the United States and Canada;


 Developing and giving training in nutritional labeling;


 Participating in strategic projects for the company;


 Writing and distributing the Regulatory Newsletter every month.


Profil

Requirements:


▪ Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or food science and technology;


▪ 1 to 3 years of experience relevant to the field;


▪ Knowledge of the food industry:


    o Excellent knowledge of Canadian and American food laws and regulations (CFIA, Health Canada, FDA, USDA, etc.);


    o Ability to work with all food products (frozen, canned, ingredients, etc.);


    o ASSET: knowledge of ProofHQ, AXIA, etc.

 Autonomy;


 Very good analytical skills;


 Rigor and attention to detail;


 Teamwork;


 Good communication skills;


 French-English bilingualism



Work conditions:


 Office located in St-Cesaire (and next to Brossard, ‘’Solar Uniquartier” from spring 2021)


 Permanent, full-time position
