Our Bergen & Oakfield facilities are looking for a Sr. HR Generalist to join our team!

The Sr. HR Generalist will be responsible for the attraction, retention and development of facility associates, and the implementation of company programs that support this initiative. Coordinates facility recruitment, employee training, workforce development, wellness, and other human resource initiatives. Serves as a resource to members of facility management to assist in the development of departmental supervisors and hourly staff members. 

  • Responsible for payroll entries and data accuracy for the facilities serviced
  • Assist facility management with seasonal staffing contracts and relationship
  • Coordinates and manages benefit programs at the facility level
  • Coordinates and communicates case management strategies, and provides recommendations to corporate for disability and workers compensation case management
  • Directly responsible for the administration of the facility recruitment/training process to include all EEOC and OSHA regulations, background checks and drug testing program and onboarding. 
  • Attends job/career fairs, represents the organization in local business community initiatives
  • Administers all company, facility, and government policy(s) that address employee behavior, compensation, performance, development and human rights
  • Ensures employee status changes, promotions, compensation, and other opportunities are achieved in a manner consistent with Corporate and EEOC requirements
  • Coordinates and updates all facility training programs. Coach and develop facility supervisors and managers on development of employees and assist plant management in the development of succession plans for the facility
  • Promote and foster programs that facilitate improvement processes, and employee well-being
  • Provide support and counsel to facility supervision for employee interventions (employee disputes, performance and discipline, coaching)
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing professional networks, participating in professional organizations and local community organizations
  • Drive employee engagement and communication efforts 

Profil

  • Three (3) to Five (5) years of Human Resources experience, previous food industry is desired but not required
  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Human Resources or other related field
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus!
  • Regular travel between Bergen and Oakfield facilities is required 
  • Strong communication, organizational, problem solving skills
  • Excellent public speaking and writing skills
  • HR Expertise - Knowledge of NY State and Federal Labor Laws
  • Global and cultural awareness
  • Training/coaching experience helpful
