Our Brockport, NY location is looking for a Production Group Leader for our 3rd shift team!

Responsible to train, motivate and supervise associates within the guidelines of company policies and procedures. Communicates company policies and procedures to those associates assigned to them. Enforces work and safety rules. Coordinates all daily repack operations to meet or exceed standards set for efficiency, direct and indirect labor and product recoveries. This first line supervisory position interacts with other individual hourly associates whose responsibilities vary from production and quality assurance, to maintenance and distribution.

  • Actively participates and promotes plant safety programs.
  • Supervises the duties of all associates, ensuring that all facility functions are carried out in a manner which is safe, and complies with all company, state and federal mandates. 
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of all incident reporting, and corresponding documentation.
  • Demonstrates a personal commitment to safety, and set the proper example at all times. 
  • Supervises associates charged with monitoring and evaluating process quality to include, but not limited to package integrity, seal integrity, package coding, carton printing, fill weights, mix percentages and product quality.
  • Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of all quality related reporting and paperwork.
  • Provides direction to ensure the repack operation is maintained within the established housekeeping and sanitation guidelines. 
  • Responsible to enforce all Good Manufacturing Practices for those individuals engaged in activities within the frozen repack operation. Responsible to ensure that all buildings, grounds, equipment associated with the repack operation are maintained within established housekeeping and sanitation guidelines.
  • Provides the necessary direction to ensure the production of a consistent quality product that is delivered on time and within budgeted costs.
  • Responsible for reviewing the production schedule to ensure adequate supplies are available for completion of days manufacturing, makes necessary adjustments to ensure on time production.
  • Provides the necessary direction to ensure improved efficiencies. Provides recommendations on ways to improve efficiencies through the use of new equipment, procedures or techniques. Monitors production lines to eliminate unnecessary downtime.

Experience:One (1) to Three (3) years production/packaging experience

Education:High School Diploma or Equivalent
