Last night in Paris, the Bonduelle Group received the Corporate Governance Prize in the Mid-cap Company category (excluding SBF 120). The prize was awarded to Grégory Sanson, Bonduelle's Financial Director, by François Couturier, the operations director for ACIES Consulting, one of the partners for the 10th Corporate Governance Grand Prize awards, which was organised by AGEFI and reserved to listed companies.
This Prize comes as a reward for the many efforts made by Bonduelle in terms of governance. The company first of all adopted the corporate governance code established by the AFEP and MEDEF. This reference code compiles a number of recommendations made by companies themselves, who endeavoured to list the principles required for ensuring smooth operation and full accountability within a company. It is regarded as the most elaborate set of standards in the field.
In this respect, Bonduelle worked to ensure diversity in its Supervisory Board, with 3 of its 8 members now being women; the Board has in fact been chaired by Isabelle Danjou since last December. Furthermore, Bonduelle's governance strives to respect the delicate balance between family shareholders and independent directors. The main objective set out by AGEFI's Corporate Governance Grand Prize is to honour corporate governances that meet investors' true expectations, to encourage memorable initiatives and to support the implementation of good practices.
