Solidarity: Bonduelle factories in Canada get involved in the local community

Continuing Bonduelle Group's CSR strategy, production plants across the world are leading and supporting local projects. In Canada, solidarity comes in the form of supporting disadvantaged communities.

In the Saint-Martine factory, in Montérégie, two editions of the 'Pousse-mine' project have been a great success thanks to its employees' efforts. This initiative, in partnership with Actions Familles, aims to provide 10 local children in need with all the school supplies they need for the new school year. Through this same partnership with Actions Familles, 12 of the company's employees have also contributed to the success of Community Wednesdays, which are run with the aim of introducing individuals and families in need to resources and organisations in the region.

At the Lethbridge factory in Alberta, the 'Adopt a Family' project is run each year over the Christmas period. At this time, families from the town who are in need can apply for food and financial support. Last year, the factory sourced and provided food for two families as well as $500 dollars each in financial support.

The Bonduelle group aims to have at least one local community project at each of its plants in all of the countries it works in.
