Launch of the frozen range

Although frozen foods were very well-known in the USA, they had remained rather unknown in France. At the time, a French wholesaler was looking for frozen peas to complete his range, and a cartoning machine was installed at the Bonduelle plant in Renescure.

Immediate success. Bonduelle invested in this branch and set up a dedicated and committed sales team in 1968.

300 tonnes of frozen food was sold as of 1969. A brand policy focused on the food service and specialized market was quickly determined. The retail circuit had to wait a little longer...
