Our Fairwater, WI location is looking for Field Mechanic!

*Must have experience, knowledge and skills in the repair and maintenance of agricultural equipment

*Must have a background in hydraulics and diesel engines

*Maintenance and repair of agricultural equipment in accordance with diagrams, operations manuals, and manufacturer's specifications

*Must have the ability to operate large agricultural and related equipment

*The instruction and supervision of seasonal employees

*Record keeping of operations

*Maintain all basic hand tools and tools to do all repairs

*Overhaul equipment within the area of responsibility

*Attend training seminars as required

*Suggest any ideas or equipment modifications which will help lower production costs


Profile

*Must be familiar with maintenance and operation of agricultural equipment

*Knowledge and understanding of hydraulics and diesel engines

*Knowledge of technical manuals associated with the agricultural operation, adjustment, and repair

*Knowledge in the use of the following instruments/equipment: voltmeter, ohm meter, am meter, micrometer, lathe, calipers, milling machine, drill press, grinder, pipe threading equipment, taps and dies, band saw, metal break and all other related hand tools

*Ability to use a cutting torch and welder

*Ability to comprehend facility blueprints and schematics

*Ability to read and write English

*Must be dependable and a team player

*Must have strong communication and organizational skills

*During the harvesting season, have the ability to work weekends, rotate shifts, overnight travel and 40 to 84 hours per week

*Required Class 'D' Driver's License/Class 'A' Commercial License Desired

*Requires moderate standing, walking, climbing, crawling, and ability to lift weights occasional exceeding 50 pounds

*Confined space entry
