Managing natural resources is an industrial performance economic challenge. Thanks to widespread active awareness raising, factories are becoming more involved in the initiative.
   
   Controlling energy consumption
 

The energy markets have reached such high price levels that the need to optimise our energy consumption has become a matter of priority. Energy performance and the application of the Kyoto protocol have now become competitive criteria. The factories have developed a structure to enable them to effectively carry out the action plans and achieve their objectives.

   
   Controlling water consumption and improving the processing equipment
 

Each factory has defined its own internal improvement plan and personalised it according to its domain of activity, the type of vegetables worked with, adherence to the quality requirements of the end product and its technical facilities. A 5.6% overall reduction in the water consumption ratio per ton of finished product can therefore be counted over 4 years, that is, almost 712,000 m3 of water saved. The Bonduelle Group is continuing its action to reduce the source of pollution loads by optimising the industrial processes.
