Throughout its history and by virtue of its business, which is in direct contact with the world of agriculture; by virtue of its products, the natural foundation of nutrition; and by virtue of its ethics, forged over generations by emphasizing essential values, the Bonduelle Group has made what we now commonly call sustainable development a centrepiece of its work..
The group's awareness of the need to respect the natural environment and desire to put humans at the heart of its economic plans have indeed driven sustainable development. Moreover, the objectives defined by the group's shareholders -- longevity, independence, employee fulfilment -- are increasingly aligned as the company, facing the growing needs of society, must answer for its actions.
Consequently, an oversight committee was formed to bring together the agri-
-business, goals and promote the dissemination of best practices through
cross-departmental human resources, research and development, and
communications functions.
Its role, beyond monitoring indicators, is to define priorities for improvement, set channels.
The group has determined five priorities for which objectives have been developed:
- Agricultural production
- Human resources
- Nutrition/quality
- Natural resources
- Transport
This initiative is intended to be stringent. It must enhance the group's effectiveness and cement its growth over the medium term.
