The Bonduelle Group announced on Thursday that it was about to take over Vita, the German market leader in 4th range fresh vegetables (mainly ready-to-eat non seasoned green salads). This takeover, which is subject to the approval of regulatory authorities, will become effective in November 2003. Bonduelle, the world leader covering all the technologies related to processed vegetables (canned, frozen, 4th range and delicatessen foods), will thus develop much faster on the German market for 4th range products and confirm its #1 position on this market in Europe.2003-08-04 - Bonduelle annual turnover up 5.4%, in line with estimates
In FY 2002-2003, ending on June 30th, the turnover of the Bonduelle Group reached €1318.2 million, a 5.4% growth in line with estimates. The 3rd quarter was affected by a low level of consumption and a general “wait-and-see” climate, but sales increased significantly in the 4th quarter, with a turnover up by 11.3% (+7.4% on a like-for-like basis).
