The Renescure site, located in the North of France, is engaging in a circular economy system, supported by the Ecopal association. Several initiatives are planned for 2014: intra-company operations organised with a view to making the site's employees aware of waste sorting, as well as inter-company operations, namely by compiling an inventory of material flows. The purpose of this inventory will be to list and quantify incoming & outgoing water, energy and material flows within the company, with a view to identifying possible industrial synergies with other local industrial stakeholders. Based on the Renescure site's commitment, ECOPAL has decided to set a local eco-friendly industrial dynamic in motion in the Audomarois region.
The ECOPAL association helps a network of over 200 companies located in the Dunkerque basin set up mutual synergies (resource sharing for waste collection, reuse of lost flows, energy and water consumption diagnoses, search for waste recovery solutions, raising awareness and informing companies of good environmental practices).
The Audomarois region is a "natural region" that used to be mainly marshland, located in the Pas-de-Calais department. As its name reminds us in French, the town of Saint-Omer and the Audomarois marshes form its central attractions.
