On 11 March 2015, Bonduelle received a 'Product of the Year 2015' award in Italy in two product categories: the Primizie di Stagione range triumphed in the cut and washed salads category and the Millefoglie Range took home the frozen foods trophy. The award is given to the most innovative products of the year.
This recognition is further testament to the brand's drive to innovate whilst still responding to consumer needs.
The Primizie di Stagione range offers a choice of different seasonal mixed salads: two recipes for winter and two for summer. By promoting different types of salads according to the season, Bonduelle hopes to demonstrate its commitment to upstream agricultural activities. The range's paper packaging was also designed out of respect for the environment.
The Millefoglie range offers its own unique twist on the 'millefeuille' delicacy, where spinach and chards leaves are carefully selected, arranged in layers, cut into fine slices and then immediately frozen. This innovative technique preserves the product's nutritional properties, as well as its flavour and texture.
