Renewable energies

An methanation unit will be operational in spring 2014 in the town of Renescure.

This project was initiated by two farmers of the region, supported throughout their efforts by the Nord Pas de Calais Chamber of Agriculture. They want to commit to renewable energy and ensure that their livestock manure is processed correctly. This plant will be able to recycle up to 30 tonnes of green waste per day.

The station will be supplied with livestock manure from the farms of the two associated farmers, with green waste from the association of municipalities and with plant-based waste from the Bonduelle plant of Renescure, in all, these inputs will provide 10,850 tonnes/year. The green waste, such as vegetable peelings, will become biogas that will be used to produce heat or biogas.

For Bonduelle, this project reflects the group's determination to be open to local opportunity projects for the methanation of organic substrates, as in the case in Germany on the Reutligen site or the Bordères site in France.
