The Estrées-Mons site, specialised in frozen foods, obtains ISO 50 001 certification. The ISO 50,001 standard will allow Bonduelle to develop methodical and long-lasting energy management skills, in order to encourage high energy performance in its plants.
In order to obtain this certification, a project group was set up, combining the quality, technical, production and human resources departments. They all contributed to the success of this project with their individual skills.
The Estrées-Mons site for frozen foods carried out an energy diagnosis of the site and identified all significant energy uses by establishing an energy report. This report made it possible to establish an action plan and objectives.
These action plans are operational both on a technical and human level. Indeed, an energy charter was created and distributed to all the site's employees.
The Estrées-Mons Bonduelle plant was established in 1963 and has many advantages: it is the biggest vegetable-producing plant in the world and Bonduelle's largest plant (50 ha, 20 of which are covered). Since 2000, two industrial units have been operating on the same site: a cannery and a frozen goods unit with a shared agronomy department.
