On Thursday 4 July, Bonduelle won this Gold trophy in the category of companies with over 500 employees for its SER (Social and Environmental Responsibility), in particular for the presentation of good practices on its diversity policy: "Bonduelle encourages the integration of disabled people".
Renescure, a long-standing site of the Bonduelle Group, employs three people with intellectual disabilities on permanent contracts. After extensive work in collaboration with the "Papillons Blancs" Hazebrouck ESAT- French Work Help Centre and Support Service for Disabled People - Human Resources have implemented a selection procedure. This initiative strengthens ties between the Bonduelle factory and its environment. The site had 613 employees (Full Time Equivalent) including 41 employees with disabilities in 2012.
3 employees with intellectual disabilities have been hired since April 2008 on workstations that needed little adaptation of equipment and they receive long-term support:
- Prior communication was provided to all employees in the factory regarding disability,
- 3 Bonduelle referents were trained to enhance the integration of the 3 disabled employees.
The Alliances Network aims to support companies to help them improve their performance whilst respecting People and the Environment. It also organises the World Forum Lille, the first global forum for responsible economy. Bonduelle has been a major partner in this event since it started in 2007.
