Bonduelle and Village by CA Nord de France are calling on start-ups to help increase the consumption of plant-based proteins

In partnership with Bonduelle, Village by CA Nord de France is launching a call for European applications on the subject of ‘Innovation in plant-based proteins for human nutrition.’

The aim is to respond in a sustainable manner to significant demographic challenges – by 2050, there will be nine billion people on the planet needing food. This means that we need to overcome nutritional, environmental, and food security challenges by developing new products, procedures, and services using plant-based proteins.

The call for applications is aimed at start-ups and those involved in innovative projects throughout Europe. The projects should help meet nutritional, environmental, taste, or cultural challenges. The selected candidates will pitch on 14 June in Lille during the fifth NutrEvent event.

The selected start-ups will receive support for their project and their go-to-market strategy from all partners in Village by CA Nord de France. Bonduelle and other partners form a powerful ecosystem in the Village by CA network involving start-ups, leading industrial figures, research and training organisations, and potential investors.

The Bonduelle group will continue its commitment to ensuring health through plant-based foods by supporting the selected start-ups, adding to the company’s open innovation approach.
